View of The Deschutes river down below. Both sides of the river had at one time rail road tracks - a result of a rail road war of competing companies to lay tracks to one of the biggest wool exporting towns in the west at its time - Shaniko. Now the track on the right is the only railroad - the track on the left is now a hiking and biking path.
